Exactly.

Make 'em up as you go, charge what you can get away with, take full advantage of whatever the circumstances allow you to, and use the 'if they don't like it, lump it' defence.

Can you see the ever so slight flaw in that?

No

Its called being fair and honest, words alien to the Limo industry with their booking scams and made up prices.

The point being made is that the fares were, in my opinion, honest and fair.

Most people weren't going to risk their vehicles, so a premium was charged by folks risking theirs.

As long as the punters know that the fare being charged is higher than the normal rate, then so be it.

Surely it's no different than the massive night rates you chaps have.

And why to you have it? To get more lads out working at those times.

Mrs Smith has too many bags of shopping, let’s double the fare as we can because she has to get home.

If there wasn't a premium then she would be waiting forever to get home.

As many folks did down here when all of us charged normal fares.

Absolutely certain folks would have paid more if they could have got home quicker.

Are they the correct figures for an 800 meter fare? £12 on the basis of time and a half means the fare would be around £8 normally. £8 for 800 meters flook me! I thought private hire worked on a basis of a basic fare for the first mile and then so much per mile after that. Our basic fare is £2.10 weekday and £2.40 weekends so £8 seems over the top never mind twelve. Our firms didn't charge over the odd's and i've never made my money as easy in my life, I hope it bloody snows again. The weather stopped loads of drivers working but I wouldn't say it brought extra custom, not of a night time anyway. The odd one or two people did mention that they would normally drive but were not risking it which had me thinking cheeky bleeders but it's allright under my insurance. But after all it turned out great for me.

Hello im back. RING-RING can i book a cab mate from-----to.... oh and what would the fare be------well sir/ms the computer says £**** and that will be the price,if the driver says any different ask him to show you the price on his PDA ,,,,,,,er do you charge extra for bad weather (like snow) the price is what you were given sir, well why do black. cabs journeys cost more even though the fares are metered ITS CALLED WAITING TIME and the longer in time that the journey takes the meter keeps on ticking. Private hire companies do not add waiting time unless requested to deviate from original routes ,any such requests are recorded and electronically monitored and then agreed by the passenger viewing the PDA.

So when GLH of East Finchley charge the London Taxpayers £380 for a wait and return from Finchley to the Guildhall for 4 hours for one of their fat London Authority Councillors called Brian Coleman, thats not waiting time then?

£380 for a 16 mile round trip?

Thats some fare for a Minicab.

Depends on the vehicle used.

If it was a Veyron that's money well spent.

So £380 is good value then for a 16 mile Minicab trip and some waiting time?

Minicabs are a cheap alternative to real licensed London Taxis?

GLH hardly have a luxurious fleet, still you can rest easy knowing Councillors are pizzing your taxes up against the wall with rip off companies like GLH Minicabs.

The people booking the vehicle were happy with the price or they wouldn't have booked. Some weddings have less miles and less waiting time and a similar price.
