Nope, and I thought you said don't.

It's the onset of old age you see, blindness.

If you run a property finding service you are then legally allowed to pick up your "clients" from the airport to take them to view properties that they may wish to purchase.

Wouldn't have thought there would be too many folks buying property in Spain at the moment.

No Sussex, you don't have to be actually buying a property, you just say you are looking and then you can take advantage of the cheaper than a taxi airport transfer.

I think the spanish councils will spot an opportunity to make monry out of licensing the vehicles and once that happens and a second tier sytem is set up the floodgates will open

My mind may be going with age but I seem to remember that there was a referendum about staying in the european union and the country voted in favour. :?

That was then, but I don't think that would be the case now Grandad, bearing in mind that we were not given a referedum in joining what was then the European Common Market now called the EU.....

They seem to have things slightly different in Spain. The vehicle licences are restricted, they're not all wheelchair accessible and you do have to be able to speak the lingo. Why is our country so eager to conform to EU when the rest of it continues to do as they please or at least appear to do as they please :?

finally it sinks in

WE are the only ones compling with "EU" laws....

I doubt it, too many have thier noses in the trough now

Sadly you may be right there.....

That referendum was to see if we wanted to stay in the EU and 67% were in favour. I think you would be suprised if the same referendum were to be held today, I still think there would be a majority in favour. I dont think it would be 67% any more but don't forget that there are now a lot of EU citizens registered to vote in this country and there are a hell of a lot of british citizens with property in other EU countries.
I would even go as far as to say that if there were a referendum on joining the EURO, the vote would be closer than you might imagine.

But then again isn't it something to do with that you have property in Spain? So would be biased towards the EU anyway

Everyone will have a bias one way or the other. Yes I would be in favour for the obvious reason that I have an appartment in Spain. Anyone want a holiday?

£200 per week, Almoradi, anytime except 21 July to August 4th, It's about 1500 miles.
Almoradi is about 30 minutes from either Alicante or Murcia airports. It is a small predominantly Spanish town about 10 miles inland. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the town including some british/irish bars.
