I would have replied to Failyor over on his dark orrifice, but as Mark Durell aka Sussex, the head of the mythical Brighton Private Hire Assoc seems to have banned me not once, but twice Grin Grin Grin Grin - I'll have to post here, cos we know he all reads this.

In one breath he says

Quote
"What Lady Smith said was that the sexual assault victim "needed" a taxi."

Yet he himself wouldn't have picked her up even if he'd been passing, and that's assuming he's still out after 2am.

Quote
"We have to be VERY careful with female passengers.

Which is why I refuse to carry single females intoxicated by drink or drugs on their own."

In other words, he's quite happy to use the ordeal this poor girl suffered for his own agenda, but would happily drive past her in the street.

TC Thanks for calling me a "little" man  The diet must be working

As for being "vile", thanks again, I'll wear it like a badge of honour.

Anyone banned from the real forum twice must surely recognise that it is no accident. You've been banned because you don't have any argument, you just spout bile and invective in persona attacks. That's why your better on the kiddie's talk shop that is TTF.

You seem to be over concerned about what time I finish work. There is only one individual so concerned and that's Gladrags. I guess you must be the scumbag Gladstone hiding under the guise of stupidity.

There is no suggestion that the female in this case was intoxicated to an incapable level. That being the case I would certainly have picked her up, and been happy to do so.

It is a question of degree. If a single female is drunk and incapable what she needs is an ambulance, or a cop, who can call on the proper resources to deal with her safely.

If she falls asleep in the taxi, then a taxi driver can't go near her to get her out of the cab. A driver can NOT lay hands on such a person under any circumstances. To do so could invite an accusation of assault. And we all know who would be believed, don't we?

TC, YOU should know all this.

As I said, there is no evidence to suggest that either of the victims of the council's restriction policy were at this level of intoxication. Indeed, the very opposite is the case. Had they been non-composmentis then they would have not had the power of recall to relate their story to the cops.

So I guess yor pettiness here TC just proves yet again that you're not the brightest candle in the box.
