if the supply of taxis or PHCs has been unduly constrained by onerous licensing conditions,, ....

..... then that person's safety might be put at risk by having to wait on late-night streets for a taxi or PHC to arrive; he or she might even be tempted to enter an unlicensed vehicle with an unlicensed driver illegally plying for hire.

Restriction is about playing politics with young and vulnerable women's lives.

This is what Edinburgh's taxi trade stands for.

Any wonder, with attitudes like this we are losing work like snow off a dyke?

Yes.

When the trade de-restricts and we can begin to build a trade we can be proud of.

Don't you mean, "when the trade de restrcts we'll be sat out there 18 hours a day trying to earn a crust".

You've never seen de restriction so how can you comment? I've been through it twice and everytime it's been a killer.

You'll be the 1st one to moan when you've got more to pay out each month than what you've got coming in.

De restriction is a killer, managed growth is something different.

I have exactly the same relevance as you mate in the grand scheme of things. Hee haw

and let me tell you this again, one last time, just for the record

I DO NOT HAVE A VESTED INTEREST

I'm just like you. I rent a cab, through my choice not because some black market cartel keeps a lid on taxi plates. I don't want the hassle of tyres/servicing/repairs/road tax/insurance/vehicle monthly repayment/breakdown cover/paperwork to council/livery/paintwork touch ups/yearly taxi examinations

Also, how many times did you use the rape arguement before those poor victims were attacked. Not once! I've been in the trade 5 years. 5 years ice known about you fighting your cause to the council. And not once did you use public/women safety as an arguement. It was always being denied your human rights, tools of the trade, unlawful lists and other bollocks.

This time last year you predicted/guaranteed that the trade will be deristriced. Never happened

this time 5 years ago you predicted/guaranteed the trade would be delimited/derestricted. Never happened

Your a little man that wants his voice heard but nobody is listening!

:? :?

Not everyone is well informed and sensible, especially under the influence of drink or drugs. The pervert, on the other hand, knows exactly what he's looking for. With streets full of vulnerable young females, the difference between hailing a cab and being tempted into an unlicensed vehicle could mean the difference between life and death.

The pervert waits for his chance, while a restriction maximises his opportunities. No one is tempted into an unlicensed vehicle when taxis are keeping up with demand.

This is what I believe Saf.
:-|

The value going down is a recessional variation.
