there shouldn't be seperate dress codes for male/female drivers and I doubt it is legal under EU law to insist on long trousers being worn in hot weather most sensible councils allow suitable shorts to be worn mind you in this day and age when there are very few taxis about that don't have aircon it shouldn't be uncomfortable to dress smart as long as the passengers
