Skull, you should have more respect to those who proffer a more powerful argument than your own.

By the way, I forgot to include the author of the words I quoted at the beginning of the thread.

Wayne Casey  =D>

The one simple question that needs, in my opinion, answering is, how long must I drive a taxi for someone before I am worthy of a licence? If this game is about public service, which some people still allege, and I work 6 days per week, hiring a cab from someone who has never driven one, have I not given after 5 or 10 years more public service than them? Do I not deserve a licence? Should my union not protect my interests, or should they continue to permit me to be treated as a serf?

How long must I work my ass off before I am deemed worthy and fit and proper, in your opinion how long would that be? 5? 10? 15? 20 years? Or until have enough money to carry on the never decreasing circle.

Believe it or not there are drivers in this country who have been on waiting lists for a very long time, indeed if they went to London, learned the knowledge, they would be cab proprietors a lot quicker than in their own towns and cities, can this be right?

What, you seriously don't remember those words or that you might have conceviably written it in the past, even assuming you've forgotten the precise words?

Well I think he's writing as a hypothetical aspriring plate holder, and I wouldn't say the article as a whole is pro-derestriction, but he's defo flying a kite, and he defo wrote those words 8-[

I wrote lots of things over the years, indeed at one time I was even pro deregulation.

Yep I was right and the whole world was wrong, everyone should have a plate, even when people are having cabs repossessed and drivers are getting booked for over-ranking........but I found out something.....there is a world outside of your own little berg.....you should perhaps look?

I dont see the relevence of it now, and of course quoting my name, you could read some of my writing in taxitalk, unless that has been quoted from there?.

We havent actually been introduced, your name is? Gutless of scotland? or Hiding behind a nom de plume?
