Yes but only because Humberside Police f*cked up their records.

Which means even the old police system is useless.

What do the CRB office do?? They are a forwarding company which cost an applicant £25. The real CRB check comes from the CRB officer at your local force HQ, the CRB officer passes the information onto the CRB office who then put it onto nice paper who then mail it onto you.

The PNC and CRB are exactly the same thing only on different paper.[/i]

The creation of the CRB was gesture politics at its worst. "Lets pander to the media headline by appearing to address a particular problem when really all we are doing is centralising a process that is already in place, creating some non-jobs in Mersyside with extra delays and costs to everyone else."

It was a typical last-gov ballsup.

and on top of CRBs they introduced that ISA check thingy for mothers sharing school run duties and anyone walking past a nursery...

Anyone heard anymore on the ISA thing..or has it died a natural death and not before time.
