Taxi with 30 passengers overturns

A Verulam taxi operator has defied all popular belief and squeezed thirty adult men and women into a Toyota Hi-Ace on Thursday evening. This all before he rolled the vehicle on Verulam Main Road this evening.

The taxi rolled several times before coming to rest on its side in the middle of the road. The cause of the accident is unknown.

The rolling vehicle spilled its occupants onto the roadway, with some being thrown down an embankment that lies adjacent to the road.

All sustained serious injuries and Netcare911 Paramedics summoned ambulances from adjacent districts to aid at the accident.

They were treated and stabilised at the scene by Paramedics before they were transported to hospitals and clinics in the area for the care they required.

When I was in Cape Town on holiday with SWMBO I got into one of these "Taxis" and the driver told me to hold onto the piece of wire that was attached to the door ............ it kept it closed I got out

I heard a rumour that a limo got stopped in the Nottingham area on saturday night trying to load about 30 passengers !!

It wasn't this driver by chance over here claiming asylum
