For the trade no location is any different than the other, and if an association has good links/support in an area it makes sense to go there.

However invited guests will think twice if they have to travel from civilisation.

Not saying that's right, but if it was held in London the powers that be might be more prepared to put aside a morning or afternoon.

Maybe the conference should be held in the minister's manor, then he/she has no excuse to not attend. :wink:

Any updates or confirmations yet CC?

Is "fishing" whilst the boring bits are going on available in Sunderland (I'm up for that) or do we have to wait until "Chez Toots" is the venue?
