its just symptomatic of how ridiculous this country has become ,by having an open door policy to foreignors.

the indigenous white population is now classed as racist in virtually any situation where they express any view which involves ethnics / immigrants etc

its a total joke

if you go to other countries and expect a red carpet of help and benefits etc then be prepared for a culture shock even in europe - they dont want to know - and if you go to the town hall and they dont speak english then tough ! no translations in 20 different languages paid for by the local population , you want to access a service then do it in there language.
yet here my local muppet regime sorry i mean council offers all leaflets etc in punjabi / polish / chinese whatever ..........

is this what our grandads fought for ?
a free democratic britain where you cant express your view ?

after living in the bastion of Welsh (Gwynedd) and having our kids come home after having some very colourful racist langauage slung at them (with SFA done by the headmasters of two schools) i think i know whats racist and whats not

Not knowing the ins and outs of it I would suspect that we are no different than anywhere else. Having said that we all have minorities who will be racist and those who take banter a bit too far. In fairness I have met young English boys and girls who have been quite upset and have taken anti English comments very personally, and then there are those who have said that they did not realise that the English were hated so much! For my part I have said you are not hated, it is just those who say it and if asked they could not tell you why they said it.

In truth once barriers have been broken down many live in Wales and are more than happy to be as far away as possible from those "English B&$*&r$s down the road", (only joking about the last few words, just in case we have sensitive members on here, so perish the thought).

I am Cardiff Welsh and I have in my time had comments directed at me from those who think that they are more Welsh, but when you give it back to them (and I really do) then like most cowards they back off. You will occasionally get the mungo's of life who make comments and then there is the banter on match days, but other than that as I say many live happily right in the heart of Welsh communities.

The "We are Welsh through and through/cymru am bith/burn the english" attitudes of North Wallians made me larf, most have Irish roots after industry developed (esp quarries) and more than a few are of scouse extraction (conveniently forgotten of course), there having been just farms where we lived prior to about 1800

Money is thrown about like confetti in "the cause" with bi-lingual adverts and signs and HMRC sending tax forms that came back 99% in english

north-welsh/south-welsh and university-welsh are languages apart from each other too

Come home to a real fire - buy a cottage in Wales.
