That you don't need to force folks to register for a forum before you can have a civil debate on Taxi issues that don't descend into insults and mud throwing.

To me the main benefit of allowing people to post anon, is that we don't spend hours and hours debating if we should allow people to post anon.

I would rather people posted their advice, experience or knowledge anon, that not at all.

Point taken Wharfy, but I wasn't taking sides or passing judgement, just pointing out the fact that things can get quite heated!

Dusty :?

Heated is OK. It means that people passionately believe what they are trying to say is right. Even if its B******

I'm afraid that the nature of the taxi industry, alas means that at times you need to be anonymous.

Especially in some of the inner citys, or where there is a massive price for taxi plates.

I wonder how many of those paying up to £45,000, know anything about the OFT Study?

Whatever comes out of it, I think the 'Clean Bill of Health' option is highly unlikely.

Personally, I would hope that each and every council in the land, gives a copy of the report (once published) to all newly transferred plate holders.

That should make things interesting.
