While the drivers were suspended I carried on parking on double yellow lines in "FULL VIEW" of the cameras "on purpose" but I heard nothing. This must have been when the letters from the NTA and Brummie were sent to the Council.

Have any drivers been suspended since those 14?

No Suss.

That's most welcome, and clear evidence that the council got it wrong, and the heavy lobbying from sections of the trade worked.

Sure is, it's warming to know that there are people out there who will help.

Can anyone remember which thread has the letter saying that the driver is immediately suspended. (Ashfield)

I hate it when I can't find something I want.

TIA

This was certainly one of them - there was another which was a suspension, not a warning of suspension. I'm bu88ered if I can find it. I'll have another look. It's in this forum somwhere - 188184 articles - I may be some time.

Thanks for the info on this one Toots.

Found it, clever girl Toots, I thought I was looking for a "picture" but the one you found was a shortcut - that made me look again - http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/1903/coucilscan.jpg

Hmmm...
I owe you another wobbly coffee.

You never know I might get to take you up on that offer again if Cornwall ever dries out :D

Don't worry Toots, you don't have to wait for Cornwall to dry out. Plymouth is in Devon.

This morning 14 Taxi drivers have been suspended for one month for over ranking in Sutton in Ashfield.

The Council have been scanning the CCTV for drivers who have been over ranking. Bear in mind there are 127 cars for 40 spaces.

I am sorry but can someone tell me what over ranking is?

Thanks

Nick.

Over ranking is where, for instance, there are spaces for 10 hackney carriages but there are 15 carriages queueing to use them.
