I see BAA are repeating the Edinburgh exercise and installing barriers at the entrance to the drop off zone at Southampton Airport.

No doubt fun will ensue!

Oddly...The Barriers at Edinburgh are at the Exit of the Drop off Zone and not on the way in to it...its pay and go.

Unless they plan to change the direction of travel this will be pay & drop.

It could also have an interesting bearing on the 15 mins free in the car park for pick ups.

The airports are all converting one by one the amounts of revenue generated are too large to be ignored I reckon Stansted will be next

On occasions at Stansted, they already close of the drop off so you have to use the carpark.

It's pay £1 to drop off at East Mids and over £2.00 to pick up.

Don't forget that at East Midlands, if you want to pay for the pick up with a credit/debit card, they charge an extra £1.50 so the £2.00 pick up is then £3.50.
