It seems the old guard of City Cabs is dead set against this merger. The word is, there's not a snowball's chance in hell of getting over 75% of the vote. Regardless of the strokes, they pull to get it through the next stage.
Murray Fleming seems to be one of the main stumbling blocks. Strange, when you think they only know of Murray through the CRT membership, and what is said on these forums.

The guys I speak to consider Murray to be a bit of a joke when it comes to a merger. :-|

I don't know quite what's going on here but some of the old guard at City Cabs thinks they are being railroaded by the committee. It makes you wonder what money making scheme both committees have concocted.

It's got to be a pocket filler, that's for sure.

So far, it seems like CRT, are desperate for a merger, while City Cabs are less in favour to the point they will never get over %75 to push it through.
