Sitting behind a York hackney in the queue at York Station I observed the following, driver sitting in his car is approached by a punter with a suitcase, who goes to the drivers window and engages the driver in conversation, as the punter walks to the back of the car the driver pushes the button that opens the boot but does not get out of his seat to help, as the punter is loading his own case into the boot, driver switches on the meter and puts on 20p extras for the suitcase, thats what is called being in the service industry.
