If you require a tx spear check CCs shed when he is at work
Perhaps we should make it a condition of license.......that would get rid of a few people.

What do the rules say regarding cab size and luggage space there, if the luggage compartment full of spear wheel where does the luggage go
As pointed out most cars now come with a space saver some only come with a can of sealant what are they meant to do as they dont have a spear wheel well

We aren't allowed space saver wheels either, it's something to do with the meter making it drop short.

I agree with the Cap space savers shouldn't be allowed.

I suppose that if your council has a rule that only full size spare wheels are allowed, then the easy option would be to only buy a vehicle that has a full size spare as standard in the first place.

Dundee also banned space savers the new peugeot had to be modified to take a proper wheel or Dundee would have not passed it.

what will you have instead of a spacesaver, cos usually the wheelwell is too small for a proper sized wheel

But aren't they the same circumfrence as a normal wheel, in which case the meter would read the same? Aren't they just narrower, which won't change the meter reading?

they are smaller in circumference, hence a standard spare wont fit in the wheelwell and also they cover less per revolution = higher price on the meter, well in theory, cos the other one on a drive axle will be normal sized, and if on a non-drive axle it wont matter.....

My Volvo's Space saver got the chuck ages ago, all the sparewheel well needed doing to it to allow a full size spare wheel and tyre was cut around 2 inches off the polystyrene blocks it was lying on....the space saver was only ever there to Save volvo money as it was cheaper than a full size wheel and tyre.
