Of course....absolutely none of the drivers making comment have ever had vehicles that were beyond the age limit. :^o

I have too wonder what incentive there is to maintain a cab beyond what the LA require, just to see it scrapped at a set age. He'd be as well just running it around the clock and fixing it when it breaks.

20 years with him driving or 10 years with two drivers, what's the difference?

I dont think he's had it 20 years.........I think he'd have been lucky to have had it 5 and perhaps bought it before the council brought in an age limit for WAV.

At least the WAV has lasted 20 years.

I know people with Skodas whose gearboxes don't even last 5 years!!!

So what's the difference between a 20 year old WAV that rattles over every dimple in the road surface and a Skoda that's about a quarter of that age with a grinding gearbox?

Both give the passenger excessive noise pollution!!!

:D :D :D :D :D

Dont forget the body of a metro cab does not rust, and as long as the chassis is OK all you will have to do is replace the other parts as and when required

The metal frame does though and that can be well expensive.

Thats a bit harsh.

I think the metrocab at 20 years old will be a little like triggers broom.
