possibly because it was posted in the Scottish section, but, I could be wrong. It's not the first mention of gangsters in Scotland and it undoubtly will be the last. I have read a similar story in the English section too. I don't think midlanders comment is meant as a personal slur or attack on the Scottish nation, but, again I could be wrong

I didn't take it as anti- Scottish, just ignorant.
Last time I checked, Aberdeen was in Scotland. We don't have any gangsters running the trade here.
As far as I'm aware, this problem is more or less confined to the Glasgow area.
Certainly not all over Scotland as Nigel stated.
