That's the same engine that was fitted into the Metro cab, it was noisy but dependable

Didn't the last of the Metros have the Toyota turbo engine. My V reg metro had the Ford 2.5di engine. Crackin' engine that just ran and ran. 8)

yes the metro ttt was toyota still sought after.But dont really know many tx2 owners that will sing its praises,its a pile of sh8te..

I know i had just got up, but thats why the TX was C rap and the metro kept on going, its just a pity they stopped making them

That's true Skip they needed updating a little but nothing much, new tooling for a better shaped body shell would have been a good earner.

poor demand and pooere profit maybe?

originally made at the Reliant factory Tamworth I believe, home of the 3 wheelers (del boys was NOT a robin by the way) and the Scimitar V6 (HRH Annie had one)
