Like the reinstatement of the Waverly line, that started off at around 150 mil now at an ever increasing 250mil that will travel from Tweed bank to Newcraighall before entering Edinburgh wav taking around 1 hour 15 to do the run with ticket prices expected to be around £17 single when the bus can do a direct run in 1 hour 10 at a cost of £6.50
They could always travel in style and get me for £50

I take it you won't be ranking at the new (old) Gala station then Skippy when the railway returns?

The majority of rail users will be ex car converts. Most car owners would convert to rail with the price of fuel heading towards £1.50 a litre, but I can't see many converting to Buses. Can you?

You should welcome the Borders Line, it'll bring more people to the borders. One stupid Beeching plan reversed.

I think anyone who thinks this is a vote for independence is deluding themselves.
This is a show of complete dissatisfaction with the London based parties and the damage their policies have done to our country.
They need to start listening to the people who elect them.
It could yet become a milestone on the road to independence if the unionist parties don't start to put the interests of Scotland before the interests of Westminster, their party or their personal ambition.

The majority of Scots still fear independence. Until that fear is banished, Scotland will remain shackled to the English corpse for some time to come.

The SNP have shown that they will listen to taxis drivers , in Dundee they have shown that common sense can prevail. Not only have the listened to the taxi drivers they have listened to the Disabled, elderly and infirm.A cap is inevitable and when the small details of a mixed fleet are ironed out then maybe the trade will recover. :D

Bet your happy with the result.

The electorate (no matter how many turned out) have spoken.
