That's a common fault on Pugs in general

It's also bloody annoying.

If a fault light comes on then it's fair to assume there is a fault there. Not a light to remind you to boot it down the motorway for 15 minutes.

wheelbearings fail on french/italian (PSA group) cars (citroen/pugs/fiats)

mine went at about 30,000

3 day job

wouldnt do it unless they had a new hub in the parts dept as the 100tonne press could crack the hub and tie up a workshop space for 3 week...

It's cleansed itself of the dirt it has accumulated in the exhaust.

One has to wonder why it had to keep it and not burn off straight away.

Exhaust manufacturers are now starting to make a replacement box for DPFs, or you can get a welding shop to open them up and remove the inners then weld it shut again like this

lots of short runs dont give the exhaust time or energy to clear itself out, thus, when that pesky light comes on just floor it down the motorway for a couple of miles .

a particulate filter isnt covered by warranty, its a service item, like any filter

£800

there is something that can be added to fuel to burn the soot out, then it flies out the exhaust, just likje it would if there was no filter....

FFS, talk about going round in circles!
