More health worrys or the Skoda

I got some bad news this afternoon the police found my mother dead they had to break a window to gain entry ambulance crew pronounced her dead before I got there, she was down the town shoping this morning

It is strange, but when life and death, follows in a certain order, usually in years, the impact or the enormity of the event quickly passes. You might even think, such as life. As you accept the inevitable, and, life goes on. It's like it never happened, but you know that it did, but that's all you know. Change the order and it's hell on earth. Your world is ripped apart, time, or your perception of order, made all the difference. :-|

my condolances skip, been in similar situation myself, and it's not a good place to be. As skull says when death follows a good life it is easier to bear.

What would be the maximum timescale they have to appeal?

I think it's 28 days, but as Ali said, the deed is done. They will be waiting on an appeal date from the court of session. This doesn't mean it will actually happen as the council can pull out at any time.

I can't seriously believe they expect to win on appeal. Which might mean they are stalling because of some other political imperative.

The asylum would do us all a favour by keeping you in.

You do realise how big a fall you're gonna take when the council pashes all over your inane drivel.

You do know how to do a triple pike don't you?

And you do also know that I don't work Mondays, so if you coulld arrange your parachuteless freefall off the North Bridge for then I'd be eternally grateful.

Maybe we should all club together and buy you a ticket to New York. The longer drop from the Empire State Building might help you realise the pratt you are.

BTW

I've just realsied your not on holiday. You ARE Hiram Holliday.

Where's your brolly?

Aye, you truly are a right Wally.

there was a license going i had no choice 1295 it should be 1296

Why not tell us the FULL story Ali? The application is in your wife's name and when you tried to lodge it, you were told that there were no plates available. You had to argue that there was a plate......... and how did you know that? Simples, one of your plates had been taken off you by the council who are fast becoming wise to your nefarious little scheme of profiteering!

Care to tell us more? Or are you going to be coy about it?

an erse indeed you shouldn't presume things until you know the facts

taking my plate of me are you that stupid

i sold it ya nob
the council try to play funny buggers because i had 2 plates in one company
they eventually did allow the transfer of one of the plates from comet to a new company.
but it came to light that evening that someone didn't renew their license on the 10th June and that the numbers where now 1295 instead of the agreed policy of 1296 and i was the only one aware of it at 5.30 pm
needless to say i was up there at 8.15am the next day application in hand.
that plate is now winging its way towards me.

kinda like having my cake and eating it

do get your facts right old boy,or you just come over as an erse

Do you think if you say it often enough it becomes true?

You know as well as me that nobody forgot to renew their operator's licence..........unless the erse you keep on about was you?

We don't need you to become delusional too, it's bad enough suffering Garry and his big bum chum.

Listen [edited by admin] for brains, sixteen applicants in the Donald group action and another ten licence sisted out with, that's twenty six plates.

Now I could be wrong about the figures but that was my understanding. That leaves one plate short of the 27 recommended by Halcrow.

That still leaves Ali in with a shout, in fact, that maybe two plates going begging.

your not getting this someone didn't have a vehicle to license and they were refused on renewal of their license

it may sound bizarre, it shocked me that someone would be that stupid but hey ho there ya go
i suspect that it was one of the 27 granted in 2009 it may have been someone not within the trade that didn't fully know what they were doing

on the 10th June after refusal that left one license available as it was now 1295 taxis instead of 1296 in accordance with the agreed policy

however you carry on making an erse of yourself ill post the letter up in a few days when ive got this motor through its test

btw there was also one in dec 2010 that was refused but that didnt bring it below the agreed policy of 1296 as there was actually 31 plates granted in 2009 and not 30 as most think,i think that was mr peaden if i remember right he successfully argued that he had been a taxi driver longer than they thought and therefore should have had more points

just a taster if you search properly youll notice that dec 2010 and june 2011 are missing,i wonder why, could it be they didn't want anyone getting wind of it
this was peter langs doing i believe always a man who would lose thing for his masters
the same masters that i believe have just thrown him to the wolves as he no longer works for the council
