and sadly, ive seen your sort just as many times

the difference between me and you is that i accept you have a right to an opinion whereas you object to any view different to your own

By the way, so far HMG have nicked all my ideas

Rubber bullets
Water cannon
Curfew
Benefits stopped for rioters

I should be an advisor for the goverment

How long have you been having these delusions of grandeur and self-importance skull?

Why don't you come out of the closet and inform your council of your name and taxi licence number? You can then point to your opinion on this forum, racist and otherwise, and allow your councillors to judge on how valuable your comments really are.

I will even assist you with the process? Give me, your name and licence number and I will write the letter giving you the opportunity.

What's the bet, a man of conviction, or a coward and a back stabbing little worm?

Come on, Wannabeeahack, give the councillors the benefit of your opinion.

That's not debating; that's bear baiting!!

The RSPCA should be told about you!!

On the contrary, I'm just giving him the opportunity to air his views. He's quick enough to give his “opinion” and to pass judgement on others.

I don't have a problem writing a letter to put his opinion to the test.

You would have thought that someone with such strong views as his, would relish the chance to go before councilors to be heard.

Then again, he could be just a hypocrite and a racist with a big gob. :-|

I think the judge in this case was looking at what they were trying to do. Ok so nobody turned up on this ocassion, but, imagine if they had. I think it's a bit harsh considering that others who were rioting don't apear to have been treated so badly

They planned a riot, and riot is a very serious offence.

Would you be saying that about people who planned a rape or a murder? :?

You miss the point I was making, they planned a very serious offence.

Just because they didn't succeed doesn't make the planned offence less serious.

Anderson Fernandes, 22, was warned by a judge at Manchester Magistrates' Court that he may face jail after he admitted stealing two scoops of ice cream. He will be sentenced next week.
Nicolas Robinson, 23, of Borough, south-east London, was jailed for six months for stealing a £3.50 case of water from Lidl supermarket
Mother-of-two Ursula Nevin, from Manchester, was jailed for five months for receiving a pair of shorts given to her after they had been looted from a city centre store

These arent to bad either FFS. meanwhile anyone in the white collar sector will usually get off ,very just

Blackpool..... the way I see it... the sentence is not about what was stolen.... in fact that only proves they were there.... it relates to the car's been set on fire.. the thousands of pounds worth of damage done to the premises.. the windows being smashed... the doors being destroyed.... the sentences need to reflect that.....you have to remember people have died... lost their homes and everything they own.... and even lost their jobs because they now have no car....

Dont think im that blinkered that i dont know that. But i think this is a knee jerk reaction. If all things wrote on social networking sites were took as gospel what would happen ? Do you remember the fella who said something about blowing a airport up and everyone said it was just a joke ? I just cant buy these two were that much of a menace to warrant 4 years. If i was a betting man id have a wager that those sentences get cut in half on appeal. What about the text messages people sent out, even in jest do they warrant custodial sentences ?

They might well get cut in half.... but right now it's seriously making people think. and I don't agree with taking people's homes off them.... although if it's part of their tenancy agreement that they must behave... they only have themselves to blame..

Inciting a riot is not qualified in law as only being inditable if a riot takes place.

That's what you don't get!

And as they haven't even received half of the maximum penalty for this crime, I think they were very lucky to get 4 years.

And those that think otherwise might as well [better not write that as I too might be guilty of incitement to riot - so strick out 'might as well'] would seem to be condoning their behaviour.
