If I get a call from another lincesed operator 200 miles away to do a job for them, my understanding is that this is legal but if I get a call from a "broker" to cover a job this would be illegal for me to try to pass that job onto a third party?


Comapny in town A call me in town B to see if I know anyone in town C and can I ask them to do a job.

It depends if you are hackney or private hire. As I understand it a hackney can take the work from another hackney or a private hire but a private hire can only accept work from another private hire in the same area. I am not sure if a private hire can accept work from a hackney from another area.

Both non local PH operator and broker cannot pass work on.

The punter must book it himself.
