What a waste of time these petitions are. Does anyone really think the government take any notice whatsoever?

This petition is not going to the Government ( as such ) it is for the Court of Appeal. I don't know the chap personally but my husband is a PH taxi driver and the drivers get held up by gunpoint/knifepoint have their cabs taken off them, robbed of takings etc etc etc. In Liverpool there are NO GO AREAS...for safety reasons. The job is bloody hard enough without the likes of incidents like this one...... Bet you would like some fellow taxi drivers to stand by you if you were in that mans shoes.....and stand united as one. I for one do not believe that justice has been done...

Thanks

Whether or not you agree with the power of the petition process, surely the raising of the profile of the case is merit enough to sign. They are not getting much of a response, so far. I can't believe those of us in the trade can accept the leniancy of the sentance without using this petition to try to question it at a higher level.
