The drivers that use my cars get paid £7.50 per hour whilst doing school runs and if they want to use the car to work at any other time they pay the company 33 pence a mile and they keep the fares. The rate is the same for work given to them by the office. All vehicle expenses are covered by the company.

that'll be a flat rate then, dressed up as somit else.

im pretty sure you know how much your getting per week down to a few pounds,£200>£250 per week at a guess

Sorry for the delay in replying.
How is it a flat rate? They do no miles they pay nothing. The drivers choose their own hours to work and some don't do any work other than the school runs because they have taken early retirement but still want to do something. The others usually only work the busy times like Friday and Saturday nights. They may cover between 50 to 100 miles each night so they may pay us around £50 per week and they have no other vehicle expenses and they will take around £200 for the 2 nights. We have one driver who works more than this and he usually pays around £80 per week but he takes around £350 because he chooses the right hours to work.
Each school run varies from 15 hour per week to 25 hours per week so the drivers earn between £112.5 and £187.5 before tax and NI. They also get 28 days paid holiday per year.

perhaps if you had explained that you were rural or in an area of very low demand then it would have cleared things up
