Dont agree with 12 CC
Councils should do a survey to find out how many WAVs are actually required, and what the disabled actually want, not whats forced on them

You mean like the disabled residents of London, Birmingham, Plymouth, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow & Edinburgh.........all of which have much higher proportions of disabled than either carlisle or gala?

High f***ing standards!!

And before you start with the wise cracks, I don't want you writing, 'We already have high standards for cabs because when they test mine it goes right up in the air on a four-post inspection ramp and that's a high enough standard for any LA'.

And all PHVs as most wheelchair users phone for a licensed vehicle and that's the PH's modus operandi.

What standards?

LLSC

Applicant standards-english,maths,local area knowledge,discrimination awareness .

Vehicle standards-age,quality,safety .

Testing centres-level playing field... a bulb fail in london is a fail in liverpool .

And more choice/availability of testing centres .

If all ph are WAVs then surely they'd all be taxis then or more to the point they would be here because the only difference between the driving licenses is the vehicle they choose to drive

Not all, as the operator can dispatch what is ordered.

So maybe a certain % based on the time differential between saloon and WAVs.
