I have road tested the peugout premier. Auto it's seems okay I would not jump up and down with excitement it feels like a working vehicle. I could not grasp fuel consumption. The sales man was little unsure I feel if your selling something you should have all the answers . I am not interested in wav side of it thought disc problems I would request exemption on medical grounds but still required to purchase wav vehicle fuel consumption is one of the main keys to staying in business today and the future do not overlook this I would be interested to hear any body's valid information on running such a vehicle fuel , relieblilty. Service , matainance , problems thanks

I drive one on a Friday night as a hackney. It is manual though. It was new mid December and has now done 12000 miles. I seem to get about 42 mpg at present which is less than i would have expected TBH. Anything above 60 mph it sounds like a skeleton having a "lamb shank" in a biscuit tin with the wheelchair ramp in the back. Having said that is is nippy around town and I find it comfortable. Not sure if its something Cab Direct did but the non Peugeot radio/CD player only works when the ignition is on!

That's a real deal breker if you ask me

As its not my car, not much i can do about it but i think the owner didn't realise this when the car was ordered. Also there is no light in the rear passenger area which is daft.

i bet you dont get 42mpg really

ive filled up today, 540 miles, 54 litres, £80

thats down on my average, 45.38mpg and 14.81p/mile

TBH I do get slight variations but not much. When i take over from the day driver, the tank is filled and likewise I refill when I am done. I only normally cover between 90 to 110 miles on a shift so probably not possible to be 100% accurate.

For every £10 i put in i get roughly 65-70 miles. New since october and nice taxi to driver,servicing costs reasonable from Peugeot dealer.

Problem is that some drivers think a full tank is a good half gallon or more different than other drivers.

Found that out when I started, and wondered why on one shift I was obviously using that much more fuel than on other shifts.

Then I realised that the one shift in question was taking over from a different driver

Doesn't do much for the mpg calculations either

only a brim to brim filling and the mileage between the two reveal the true MPG and even then 1 filling isnt enough, 10 tankfulls is the least you need, every pump is different, every cutoff, every forecourt at a different angle

just look out for trapped fingers as the rear passenger get in thay wrap there hand around the door post and the front passenger slams the front door shut. Not nice seen this so many time when sitting behind them
