PLUS an annual inflation rise at April (2% abouts)

PLUS extra when we add a kid to the run

Of course remember I deal with the county direct, those on a circuit get a rough deal from what they tell me....and dont see all the money off the run, and dont get paid for 30-45 days EOM....

East Sussex don't pay anyhting when the scools are shut. Kent pay your standing costs and driver, but not for fuel. Lucky all my schools ahve ben open so far, but the snow has gone from the Romney Marsh. The sheep must have been busy. :?

Sorry I missed this post.
No we don't get paid for the school runs when the school is closed. The exeption to this is where we have already set out for the run BEFORE the school has been closed. We then get the payment for that journey.
Seems that they have it all their own way then, didnt think you were avoiding the question gramps :D
Don't they just. If the Council terminate a contract we are supposed to get 2 weeks notice or payment in lieu of notice. It never happens though.

As with everywhere else. You can't get drivers to even agree that Friday is the day after Thursday.

Agreed :D :D

But where this little debate is useful is it's revealing what can be obtained from various councils, what have we got? 3 taking part on here and already theres considerable differences being highlighted! so multiply this debate by 300 or so and all of a sudden there's an immense resource available ideas maybe not previously considered will be illustrated for everyone's consideration, exactly one of the roles of a Union :D

I am biased of course but surely its becoming clear that it will work.

Imagine National Standards on School run contracts created and agreed by Drivers, company's, Nationwide!

do you think councils don't share info on how to leg you over?

But its THEIR work, THEIR rules

Leics CC emailed me...

"In exchange for payment 14 days from invoiced would you give a discount"

My reply was a tad terse im afraid, along the lines of..."bid lowest THEN givs a discount? and BTW, I already get paid 14 days from invoiced but not by you"
