They are built for the job though.

the difference between cars and light commercials has closed quite a lot since the 60's, my Tourneo had almost the same running gears as my Mondeo....

well here, we PH's are allowed to have a window sticker of our firm but no other type of advertisement without council permission, but the generals can advertise as they wish and they have roof signs that can only display yellow or white at the front of them, and red at at the back

same here, no signage on glass, no advertising 3rd party firms either, cant use the words CAB or TAXI on a PH (though one firm does have its web address on which includes CAB

all signage has to be approved before installation

Surely you show no smoking stickers? we can have our firm on the back window but thats it we can advertise but need council approval first but the generals can advertise when they want

never heard of having that before, in this area no smoking signs must be shown facing outwards to let people know before they get in, and we are also meant to display fare plates i never have done, exept from one of my old generals a cortina, took it down for it's annual inspection worried as per, made sure it was spot on for the test came back as failed for no fare plate displayed i told him that i had passed tests before without fareplates but it was a new guy at the time, so he didn't let any faults go unmissed. Here is picture of my old cortina served me well and me and my brother drove i owned the plate and the car but he would take the car for the dayshift and i usually done the nightshift the memories Image hated going on holiday as that taxi sign was a hell of a job too put back on

the weight of the thing, wonder it didn't com through the roof, my last general before i moved over to a private was this spotted it a few month ago still working as a taxi, and i must say the signs on them are allot lighter but do mark the rooof more with the magnet's Image Image put it into the market to get a new octy the redo one, as in my area all generals have to be white and the privates can be any color except from white, these came into play in late 2005
