I'm a tad surprised gus - the divide to conquer tactic has been used by the English forever - as a Scot you should know that because you were the first country where it succeeded. The dividing of the working classes is merely the same ploy.

Im not sure tbh - divided I guess, but its a point worthy of a thread in its own right - according to my recollection of history there was a very fine line in Germany between national socialists and communists - both party's claimed a socialist mantle - yet both were anything but - arguably anyone citing themselves as socialist have been tarred ever since?

I think there has been a deliberate dumming down of what we would call the working class - you only need watch the TV for a week and you see the anesthetized coverage of events - its certainly tamer than what I grew up with - or appears that way.

I think, and ffs don't let him read this, whats appealing from TT is the alternative opinion - its one we don't really get - and certainly one the public never hear.
