Yes, I have a place in Spain. The town is Almoradi. It is about 10 miles inland from Guadamar and 30 minutes from Alicante airport. You can pick up a 2 or 3 bed appartment for anything from €20,000 upwards. They have been selling some 2 bedroom appartments in our block for around €30,000. The whole region is awash with properties for sale that have been reposessed as well. You just visit any bank in the area and ask what they have for sale, find one that you like and offer half the asking price.

Not for long I would think there will be a rush of Brits rushing to buy out there and emigrate now that the property market is moving in the Uk and they can sell their houses and retire out there on the proceeds !! Thats if the Germans don't get there first !

There are at least 140,000 empty properties in the Costa Blanca region. Not to mention all the occupied ones where the owner is desperate to sell and move back to the UK. So I don't think prices are going to rise significantly for a while yet.

Why would anyone want to move back to the UK??

£39K

Quote:

Fantastic small project,

Small detached villa featuring 4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms.

The property is located 5 minutes away from La Finca Golf in Algorfa.

Ideal property for those looking to live in a quite residential area with privacy.

The property was built in 1986 but it was recently refurbished, it has all the paperwork in place and it is built under urban belt.

Bear in mind this is an opportunity although you have to invest money on it . At this price you are getting a fantastic bargain. However, this is not recommended for somebody who is looking to move in straight away.

Viewing recommended

no offers accepted. dropped to minimum price

Mainly because they are on a fixed income and the cost of living in some parts of Spain (coastal) is going up. Where my place is, because it is 10 miles inland, the costs are actually falling. A pint of lager is around €1.50 in the Spanish bars and a glass of wine is around €0.70. You also get tapas included at those prices. The price of fruit and veg at the market is very cheap. Rates for the year are around €150 and tax is around €80. We have to pay a charge for running our community which is around €500 for the year.

Jump before they're pushed?

If the Tories/UKIP manage to pull the UK out of Europe, they will have no right to stay.

The Tories won't pull out of Europe, they said they will for the vote.

I would say UKIP have very little chance of getting even a handful of seats in parliament so even if the bookies offered odds of a million to one I wouldn't bet on them
