We have snow. No gritters out last night though so the roads this morning, even in the town were bad.

WARNING HIGH RANT CONTENT

NIGHTMARE day today every road had queues from one end to the other A1 up the creek and the phone ringing like crazy all day could take very little on having to quote 30 to 40 minutes all morning and of course it's Fair week which means that most of the town centre is closed off and full of rides and burger vans !!!   and of course I'm down on cars because two of my drivers have insisted on taking the week off as holiday because they know what a pain it is when the fair is in town More road rage problems today than the whole year so far !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a lot of snow drifts on the higher ground. It's bloody freezing as well and we choose this week to take out our storage heaters and fit gas central heating :x

Well made there and back, only slight slide was taking passenger down her 3/4 mile drive, was in second for most of it, then it gets steeper so put it in 1st and the fronts locked up, so just drove it across her lawn, rather than hit some large old oak trees. got back out OK
Vredestein All season tyres will be going on as soon as the Michelin's are near the wear bars, could be some time as they where nearly new

Saw Brighton on the News before I went to bed - it looked awful - but then again - it always looks like that.

It is, I must admit, chilly.

But no snow.

Not even a frost.

You have to love Plymouth!

A bit of a flurry yesterday, that settled as it dropped - it did not last for long, and came to nothing. Having said that it is bloody cold, with quite a bit of a wind not helping - the coldest winter we have had for years.

Give it another 2/3 weeks and we will probably looking at 15 c  \:D/

Plenty of snowdrifts here on Romney Marsh yesterday evening and this morning. Had the busiest day for ages as others can't be arsed to drive in the snow! :D

Last night's gale force winds saw snow coming horizontally at 60mph across the road! This morning drifts up to 4'deep :? . However, my trusty Auris hybrid and the Chrysler Voyager both got where they needed to go, both on snow tyres on the front and no hint of sliding! Loads of other cars stuck in the drifts; I suspect a lot of the stuck cars was due to them being driven too slowly.

FFS, this morning the main A259 had been gritted and was reasonably clear, yet dimwits were creeping along at 10mph! 12 mile trip Lydd to Hythe took about 40 mions due to above dimwits driving too slow!

All roads clear now, let's see what tonight brings. I wonder if the M20's open yet?? :?
