I was offered a set of 5 spoke ghia alloys with good tyres but i stuck with the steels, cheaper to replace if i kerb one and a set of trims is cheap, alloys can cost £100 each just to refurb, or £300 for a new one

I Bought 3 New Steel wheels and used the steel spare to put on winter tyres 2 years ago, The Cost of the 3 Steel wheels and 4 Winter tyres worked out a load cheaper than buying two expensive 18" low profile winter tyres for the alloys, more amazing is that the two rear winter tyres which were put on in November 2011 and stayed on all through 2012 and are still on and tread legal now in April 2013.

They must have Covered over around 30,000+ miles, Though Ive had a Set of fronts fitted since then.

I reckon Ive saved around £600 in tyres over that time, the expensive showy Low Profiles on the Alloys had a tendency to Puncture easily, so easily that they became unrepairable before they would wear out, or they would wear out a whole lot faster than standard size Tyres.

Well there is a body shop down the road from me that can repair any scrapes for £50, but £300 for an alloy? its about £140 see this link
http://www.skodaparts.com/product/super ... heel-21085 and alloys look better in my opinion

punters dont usually look, and care even less and some trims are very convincing

didnt know youd got a yeti, yours are a bit more...

i don't really care what the passengers think of the car, i prefer the alloys and it is my car, when i looked at that link of the other alloys, they are not mine i have 16" spectrums, they are 17 ". the reason it is also listed for the yeti is because you can get 16" spectrum's on a yeti too

Well if someone gets in and tells me that they don't like the colour of the car, i don't really care as i will only meet them for a 10 minute journey or there abouts, so what does there opinion of the car matter to me?

Car is still tones of praise from passengers, had a young girl this morning who got in the back and said "what kind of car is this" i told her it was a superb and she said "thats a skoda isn't it?" told her it was and she said the legroom was unbelievable and she said her dad was looking for a new big car with good fuel economy, i told her the spec and engine is had, and she wrote it on a bit of paper and said the will tell her dad about it and see if he looks into buying a 2nd hand one, and i was also speaking to a 61 plate superb owner today and he told me the same thing, that many people praise the room and the quality of the cabin, well chuffed i got one now
