Yet again they have left it too late to put vehicles in for their test not one but two of my drivers have lease cars from them that had plates due to expire this week so up they went on monday and tuesday for servicing then promptly failed their tests and the plates have now expired leaving two of my drivers with no earnings this weeik and me with no cars this weekend i have had to turn down over a hundred bookings in the last 2 days and nights because it's eid which means I was left with just 4 cars out of 10 to cover a very busy weekend and one of those drivers doesn't normally work weekends I'm lucky she has been so helpful (and that she has a holiday to Las vegas coming up for which a little spending money would come in useful !)

I despair of this shower i really do I din't think it was possible for them to get any worse after forgetting to tax 2 of the cars earlier this year leaving two of my drivers sitting at home as it was too risky to put them out on the rank with the roadtax a week out of date

Sorry have I missed something.

You are blaming the council for your drivers not getting their vehicles tested until it's too late? :?

surely this is the impetus you need to put a couple of vehicles on yourself rather than letting your drivers rent from such a shower of cowboys.

No Highway services are the leasing company the drivers rent their cars from !!!! despite me nagging at them to look elsewhere

And it gets worse after 7 days of faffing around they finally get one of the cars past it's test driver takes paperwork in and................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................Council has refused to replate the car because the plate has lapsed which means they have lost the 2 years grace with the age rule so now driver will have to wait for them to buy a new car and plate it for him to drive

and the other driver has got to wait for parts to come from France minimum of 7 days wait so he is off the road for about 3 weeks as well !!

This company has been in business for over 25 years you wouild think by now they would have a clue about how to organise themselves !!!!

And the latest

1 of the cars has finally got their plate today after the driver has been off work 2 weeks as the plate was out of date BUT the council reckoned it wasn't due until OCTOBER despite it saying otherwise on the plate which is probably why Highways never received the paperwork

This cock up gets worse and worse !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

still at kleast thats 1 back on the road with a new car being plated tomorrow for the other driver

Yes because they are having to work harder !!! We run the business with enough cars to be "comfortable" but not too many that a reasonable living is made so we were Already 2 down it has been a case of 6 cars trying to do the work of 10 so lunch breaks days off etc. all gone out the window

the car which the date of the test was wrong has been given 14 months by the council ! and the new plate reads valid until October 2014 !!!!
