I know they are a huge manufacturer and supply marine diesels and GM with engines (inc Jeep)

Ill ask swad diesels too...lol

I had a ford Scorpio and it had a VM diesel engine, it did 400,000 with no problems,

the very old ones were a york engine, then a pug 2.5 like the transit banana engine
