How much does one of these forums cost to run.

It's not that I want to run one, just I'm intrigued how much it costs folks to rent a space not used by anyone for a month or more.

Also I see www.thetaxiforums.co.uk is still registered to Alan, I thought he had sold that? That lady should update the register, oops it was updated last week.

Sorry, I know I'm stirring, but I just couldn't resist it.

I'll get my coat

Not huge amounts of money Tom, but a fair bit of time setting it up and keeping it going :?

The thing with a lot of these things is that the money's paid up front for a year so even if it was decided not to keep it going then it would be pointless pulling the plug until the time's up.

Since Alan does hosting and the like it probably doesn't cost him much at all to keep TTFUK going, whoever happens to be running it

It depends, if you have your own hosting company like we have at www.yourtaxiforum.co.uk then hardly anything. We can set one up for Joe Public at no more than about £250 per year tops if they go for the best hosting package. (less if they already have a domain and mysql database)

I should add thats assuming the site doesn't go over the generous space and bandwidth allocated, which you'd probably need to be running a porn site to exceed

As Dusty says Tom, not much in terms of hard cash, but loads and loads of time.
