Aye he probably could, but it would cost him more money to take the case into court, to get a ruling in his favour. Oh and if everything went, pear shaped, he would be liable for the council's legal fees as well as his own.

Oh and that's why they brought him up before the council in the first place. They just wanted make an example, of what could happen, if you got caught slagging off the police on Facebook.

Nope, just fed up with people constantly slagging of the police.

Just imagine, your being stabbed in tescos, the police arrive, but have to park in a proper spot just in case someone takes a picture of them parked where they should not be. I'm not for 1 minute saying the police are perfect, but overall, I think they do a pretty decent job.

Let’s get something straight. Society needs policing but when they fall below the required standards or fail to act with professionalism. It is they who become the problem and not the solution to what ails society.

He must have done one hell of a job altering the image. It's not illegal to take video of anyone in a public place or building without their consent, secret or otherwise.

And nope, I don't have any family members who are coppers.

My experience of the police has been 99.9% positive through my life.
I understand you have been subject to heavy handed dealings with them, but does that mean they are all like that?
