I had two of them, a gorgeous 2.3 Ghia s model in champagne gold and one of the very last 2.0 crusader models in cardinal red. If you had ever tried to change the void bushes on one though, you wouldn't say "trouble free".

simple enough job with the right tool

with that tool the void bushes took 30 minutes max, bolts out, arm out the way, wind the old bush out and the new one in, the Mk3/5/5 all had the same bushes, i used to buy MOT failures and had 1 of each to do the same day...

Correct, I changed many belts at the side of the road. Come to think about it, I changed clutch cables, water pumps and a few other things on the old Cortina's. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

a local classic car owner has a contact who recruits older cars for TV and film work, all thos episodes of George Gently/call the midwife/Morse, etc might pay better than having a plate
