I, and a few other drivers were contacted by Metrocab after registering an interest on their website.

Apparently I've been selected as a test pilot.

I'm guaranteed a 24 slot, maybe longer... although it looks like the weeks trials are going to Com Cab drivers for allocation and evaluation.

Needless to say I'll be sharing my experiences on here and on twitter.
