Taxi fire causes chaos on M602 in Salford



The black cab set alight on the Manchester-bound carriageway at around 8.25am.

Motorists are facing delays after a taxi caught fire on the M602 at rush hour this morning.

The black cab set alight on the Manchester-bound carriageway at around 8.25am.

Fire crews closed two lanes of the motorway, between junctions 2 and 3, while they tackle the blaze.

Northwest Motorway Police posted a picture of the aftermath of the taxi fire on Twitter.
