I had one encounter with the woman.

She refused to represent Cabforce, instead wanted to act as a mediator with the council.

I learned then that politicians will always protect the system they represent, it is their very reason for being. They will NEVER represent the interests of anyone if it threatens the system they serve. I haven't voted in an election since.

BTW I don't hold this against Margo per se. She is only typical of the breed.

Norma Hart, Gilmerton councillor at the time, did exactly the same. Faced with a request for help, she passed the buck to the very council process that is the problem.

And this is known, and used by the council, as they ride roughshod over the rights of individuals. The unelected executive will never be held to account by those who are supposed to represent us, protect us from abuse.

So, it should be the courts who will protect us then? Except the average Joe can't afford to fund a case, while the council can use the deep pockets of the public purse to defend its abuse.

Margo knew this. She did nothing about it. But then, she wasn't alone. No politician will. It's not in their interest.

Be assured. The system will deliver up another Margo, to do just as she did.

Jasbar, I as many other taxi drivers new Margo and it will be a while before another Margo appears again and if it happens Scotland will be a better place.

Just what you'd expect a sheeple to come up with.

I don't want any more Margos. I want politicians who will stand up for those whom they're supposed to represent.

Politicians who really serve.

Why, because I can actually see the wood for the trees?

In my case, as a politician paid to represent us, Margo proved herself as useful as a chocolate fire guard.

That's the plain and simple truth.

I reserve praise for heroes. I don't see an here.

What I see is a government system refusing us our fundamental rights. A faceless bureaucracy that doesn't care about individuals. Margo proved herself no different. She had the opportunity to pick up the torch of real freedom, and it was too hot for even her. So, she dropped it.

Margo may have been a press darling. Not mine. I live in the real world, not the fanciful illusion of your's Flower.

And for criticising me, attacking me rather than the wickedness of the issues being raised, all you do is single yourself out as a subservient, inadequate Pratt.

And I'm certain that Margo was at least a good enough politician to agree with me.
