For those that do not know, if you operate a 9 seat minibus that is 8 passenger seats plus driver you can apply for 100% exemption from the congestion charge a gaurteed 8.00 tip on every job.

I didn't know that, but I will pass that on to my mates that do run 8 seaters.

If your driving a licensed Taxi, your exempt from London's Bus Lanes, the legislation states 'Taxi's', it does'nt matter where your plate originates from.

E-mail TFL if your in any doubt.

GBC I did just that when it all started, and they said that the CC exemptions only applied to London licensed cabs and PH. [-(

we even let London Cabs sit on our dead ranks undisturbed, bus lanes is cool because at the end of the day, most people understand that we are Public Transport, and we all got to beat the bus.

Yet the Mayor stings us everytime we come up to the big smoke.

Yes you where, and it would appear that I'm getting old and forgetful. :-$

But didn't the adjudicator say last year that London bus lanes were not for PH, and cabs from outside London? :?

In honesty I don'nt know the answer to that one.

As far as I was aware Hackney plated vehicles, ie: Taxis, were allowed.

The blue sign just says 'taxi', not London Taxi's only, so if I were to get a ticket whilst driving a taxi in a London bus lane, I think you would have reasonable grounds for appeal.

But always take into consideration this is TFL you are dealing with here. eusasmiles.zip
