It's down to the Green Tree Hugger Brigade.

They want us to spend billions we haven't got on vanity projects like cladding and wind farms.

There are e-mails from the manufacturers to suppliers and brochures stating the panels should not be used like they have been, criminal charges are virtually guaranteed to be the outcome of this investigation,I think a lot of irresponsible people will now be doing there utmost to cover up there involvement in this fiasco.

you really don't get it do you ALL fridges/freezers/air con units can catch fire because instead of cfc's we now use isobutane an explosively flammable gas it is EVERY unit which is dangerous if they suffer any damage resulting in a leak

You apparently do not get it.we all know electrical goods developing a fault can ignite.
Hotpoint are asking those who own either of the 2 stated models to get in touch so they can be checked,at the moment no other manufacturer has issued a statement.

I have to be honest, I didn't know my fridge could blow a gasket. I'm considering putting it in my back garden now

As long as you check if for leaks periodically and don't roughly handle it when moving it there shouldn't be too much risk

Are you qualified to offer this advice?
