Hello

Looking for a career change. read through the posts and although the hours are long I think it may be what I am looking for. How do you start out workin for someone? Would bankruptcy be a problem? If so would be willing to work on side?

I should have a look at this thread http://www.taxi-driver.co.uk/phpBB2/vie ... php?t=2658

As for the bankruptcy, well in some areas it's a prerequisite.

most owners who rent out cars do it legit. if you want to work for one who turns a blind eye to you doing it on the side, then you could leave yourself open to crap money, no holidays and stich ups.

the Official receiver is not stupid. they will look at everything, you bank accounts, payments to NI and IR and what you are claiming to earn / spend. if you get caught out your likely to have your bankruptcy extended to up to 15 years or even dragged in front of the court for fraud. is it really worth the risk?

you can still be bankrupt and earn legit money, just make sure you list things like car rent, insurance, fuel, servicing, etc and you can claim them off you income. as long as you can show where your income has gone then you have nothing to worry about.
