Pendle taxi firm has its licence pulled 7th December 2016 A taxi operator in Pendle has had its licence pulled after all its cars failed their checks.
Pendle Council revoked UK Cars' licence saying its vehicles had consistently failed the Council's spot checks in November.
After that the Taxi Licensing Committee insisted that all of the vehicles in UK Cars' fleet had to be tested again.
The company was told that if any of them failed then their operator's licence would be taken away.
Neil Watson, Planning, Building Control and Licensing Manger, said:
"Unfortunately all of the vehicles tested failed their latest pre-arranged checks.
"The standard of UK Cars' vehicles is unacceptably poor and I'm disappointed that they didn't make any improvements despite our very clear warning that they needed to.
"We have to put the safety of passengers first which is why we have no other option but to revoke its operator's licence."
UK Cars is taking that decision to the Magistrates Court as they appeal against it.
