Taxi driver attacked and robbed with scissors

A taxi driver was hurt in a robbery by a masked man with a pair of scissors in Stoke-on-Trent.

He was treated by paramedics but did not need to go to hospital after the attack on Robert Heath Street, Smallthorne, police said.

The driver suffered cuts to his shoulder, ear and above his eye in the robbery at about 06:30 GMT on Wednesday.

The robber, who made off with money from the driver, was white and wore a face mask and a light-coloured hoodie, officers added.
