so they have stripped Lincolnshire of £9M in grants and added £15 Million onto the wages cost through employers NI cost  so we can expect a large rise in council tax bills next year

this is a situation for all councils but is not the prime reason for LCC's large cost increases but I'm sure is an element of it.

School transport is not a council cost, central government send them the money to dish out
Leicestershire County Council are re tendering a lot of SEN jobs at the moment in an effort to "streamline" and reduce costs. As a result I will lose both of my contracts. 1 because the student is being put in a vehicle coming from the other side of leicester and there is no way that I will win that one and the other because although there are only 2 students in the car they want it to be a 6 seater and I don't have one available.

More and more folks are doing the 'he is dead now, take him away and bring the ashes back when you are done' funerals.

TBH I don't blame them.

One of our punters sadly died recently and she left her body to medical science.

A couple of years ago when my dad was dying he wanted to get everything sorted. He didn't have much to leave so I downloaded a will template from the internet. It was filled out leaving everything to me as my sister had already passed away. It was witnessed by my ex wife and her husband. He then wanted to sort out his cremation. He was never a religious person so he just wanted to have a basic cremation. We called the local co-op in and a nice lady came to see us.So he told her what he wanted and she gave the price. It was around £1,200 so he went to pay her and she said he couldn't pay up front because that would make it a funeral plan and the cost would be £1,350 which we thought was a bit strange as he only had a couple of weeks to go. So he said he would pay after he had died. Low and behold he died 2 weeks later so we paid the £1,200 and that was that. He always loved a bargain. :D

If ashes are not collected within 30 days the Coop charges storage

Customers who want to go to the loo just as you are leaving the airport.

As if they don't have them in the airport they have just left.

I always used to ask them if they needed the loo before we headed for the car
