I along with one of our members from Brighton met with GMB national political officer today.Consequently 103 GMB MPs will supporting said ammendment, the minister concerned is a GMB MP.I hope that everyone else will still lobby their MPs.In this arena nothing can be taken for granted.I hope that there will be other issues where we can all work together.

Well done to Terry and Co. =D>

For all the unions and assocaitions that have done something, or will do something, to rid the taxi/PH trade of this iffy section, I also say well done to them. =D>

I wonder if the GMB had actually heard of section 75(1)(b) before it was brought to national promenance?

Band-wagon jumping should be an olympic event.

But fingers crossed to all those concerned, particularly those of you on here who actually wrote / emailed your MP's.

regards

CC

Captain no i didnt realise its importance, but thanks to the information from you and many others on this site we decided to get involved.
B and wagon jumping no just supporting what we think is right and just. Our members will benefit if we are succesfull and so will the public, and maybe many of posters on this site.We are here to assist when we agree and MAYBE our influence will be of benefit? Why would you not want 103MPs and the appropriate minister on your side?Remember not all issues will so clear cut our influence could tip the scales.Maybe thats what frightens you??????????????
