This is all very well Sussex but surely with the new technology lately these phones are rendered useless as soon as they are reported missing as they are barred off all the networks, and normally replaced via insurance, therefore said customer dont give a monkeys either :wink:

Contary to belief i did drive for 12trs,it was millenium new year and my mate the TROTs on the box, get a call on the hambone,theres this punter wants to go to cornwall on account from a TV company,OK i SAY how much £450 says the trot,that will do me says i.530 pick mush up.where to mate Camberwell he said.F--- that i said its supposed to be cornwall,nah im picking the wifes motor up,but ill sign docket,lovely fellow.2 weeks later im £450 quid better off.Not many jobs like that,me and the trot got leggo wonderfull.

I believe what one was attempting to state was that on Milleneum Eve he was requested upon by ones operator to acknowledge whether one would be prepared to carry out a job to Cornwall at an agreed price of £450. The driver being a Knight of the highest realm readily agreed and readidied his trusted stead. Upon picking up the same passenger it transpired that the fare was only for the short distance to Camberwell and not Cornwall. However, the gainly Knight signed an acccount ticket which clearly stated that he had been transported to Cornwall and the shining Cabbie took the fair operator out on the lash and got rat faced on the proceeds same as any of us would have guv!!! :twisted:
